In this topic area, I try to give an overview of what many Deists believe. There are a couple of short explanations about Deism that I call “primers,” a short history of Deism, how some Deists practice Deism, dates of interest to Deists, and some book links of interest to some Deists.

   Again I feel I must advise the reader that the views presented do not represent the views of all Deists. It is a part of the religion or philosophy of Deism, for each Deist to think for themselves and come to their own conclusions. Which naturally means that Deists will come to different conclusions. It is just human nature to think of things differently. 

   For Deists, unlike those following revealed religions, believe that it is necessary for them to consider if there is a God and what that God’s nature might be, for themselves. Deists generally encourage others to examine their ideas and look for flaws in their thinking. Much as scientists publish research so that their peers can review and critique it. With the hope that we can get closer to the truth about God and God’s ways.
