The links below lead to many written historical and
modern works by Deists and for Deists. My goal is to eventually
archive as many works here as possible. Websites sometimes vanish, and
valuable material vanishes along with them. Initially, this site will
point to the best sources currently available, as well as to local
copies.
One of the earliest Deist works. This version was retyped into
eText format by Steve Dowell in 2003. It contains 12 of 14 chapters.
This is the most readable format, but it is incomplete.
This version is a scanned .pdf version of Tindal's original work.
As, such it still has old-style printing, so the word "Christianity"
looks like "Chriftianity". This is the only source I have currently
that has chapters 13 and 14.
This is the version widely available on the Internet, but
hyperlinked in .pdf format. This version was published in 1854. It
has a few sections edited out from the original 1787 version.
This is my modernization of the version published in 1854. It is
significantly easier to read. I think I did a fairly good job, but I
am really seeking some reviews. Feel free to email me.
This is the version widely available on the Internet, but
hyperlinked in .pdf format. You should also read Steve Dowell's
modernized version at
Celestial Lands or
Positive Deism.
A bound
edition is available at CafePress.com.
